Human Services Generalist Technician/Child Support Worker

Job responsibilities will include front office duties including phone skills, helping customers, utilizing basic office machines, drafting orders/guidelines, compiling reports and documenting information in various State computer systems. Specific programmatic responsibility including preparing for audits and program reviews both internal & external necessary. The person must be able to travel for training and be able to spend a few nights per year away from home. The individual will need to read detailed State regulations and follow rules. This position may also include duties with Public Health in addition to the advertised Human Services duties and any other duties as assigned.
Personal characteristics desired include: attention to detail with a focus on providing customer service and desire to work with diversity of services/programs. Individual must be timely, organized and enjoy working with a variety of clientele. Flexibility and desire to work in an ever changing environment needed as well as a pleasant personality. This position requires the ability to work independently, be self-disciplined, a self-starter and the ability to learn remotely (webinars, phone, email, etc).
Human services departments in Colorado are State supervised and locally administered.
Qualifications: valid driver's license, minimum of high school/GED and computer knowledge. Specific software applications will be taught and minimum proficiency in Word & Excel beneficial.
