Maintenance Position

CHEYENNE COUNTY is accepting applications for a full time maintenance employee. Position is 40 hours/week M-F starting at $13.25/hour with step increases after 3 months and 2 years. Benefit package includes health insurance after 2 months and paid time off and mandatory retirement after 3 months. Must pass a drug test before beginning employment, and then be placed on random drug/alcohol screening if hired.

Duties consist of, but not limited to, mow, paint, building repairs, snow/ice removal, maintain supplies and budget, substitute at landfill and any other duties assigned. This position must be an organized self-motivator with carpentry and math skills, able to operate tools, work well with people, have previous maintenance experience, knowledge of electronics and operate small and heavy equipment.

Eligible applicant must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid driver's license.

CHEYENNE COUNTY Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for Deputy Positions:

DEPUTIES: This is a full time position with benefit package (retirement, health insurance, sick/vacation leave, etc.) available after a probationary period. Must possess current, valid Colorado Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) certification or ability to obtain by date-of-hire; a High School Diploma or G.E.D and meet one of the following requirements:

1.) Graduation from a basic law enforcement academy

2.) 2 years relevant law enforcement experience and 30 semester hours

3.) 4 years relevant law enforcement experience in patrol related      
duties and a high school diploma

4.) 2 years active military service in a law enforcement capacity and 30
semester hours

5.) 4 years active full time military service

Ability to work any shift, nights, weekends, and holidays required. Selected applicant will be required to pass a written examination, physical, background check, psychological exam, polygraph, CVSA, and a drug screening before beginning employment and then be placed on random drug/alcohol screening. Selected applicant will be required to enroll in mandatory 401a retirement plan.
